I believe everyone is entitled to beautiful design, whether it is digitally, in print or handmade. Handmade items dominate my current field of view but that's because it has been the most inspirational lately. Pulling together patterns, colors and images and arranging them in greeting card form has brought out my creativity in different ways.

Honeybee Creations - Self Employed

2007 - present

HBeeCreations is my baby. I started it after my friends and family consistently asked about my paper crafts, photography and design skills. It has allowed me to manage my time between work and family life well. I have designed wedding, graduation and birthday invitations along with baby announcements and various greeting cards. College graduates and family portraits dominate my photography portfolio but I also photograph engagements and small weddings. I have plans to make Honeybee Creations bigger than a craft room but that will take time. For more about my work, please visit HBeeCreations.com, or @HBeeCreations on Facebook or Instagram.

Grow! Eat! Go! curriculummultiple infographics, and illustrations.

2013 - 2017

Reynolds & Reynolds - Graphic Designer

As one of two graphic designers in the College Station office, I designed marketing materials for several companies under the Reynolds and Reynolds umbrella. I was a valuable team member for the team and was awarded a Meritorious Performance Award within 8 months of employment. I designed over 30 graphics to accompany a rebranding of one of our newly acquired businesses. I was also chosen by my peers as the Outstanding Associate of the Year in 2014 and 2015. My manager also awarded me the Associate of the Year in Marketing in the fall of 2016.

In my list of typical responsibilities, I created unique material with each companies' branding standards, created customer spotlight videos and worked with our web development and editing teams to create marketing materials for tradeshows. I also set up promotional materials for out-of-house printing, maintained our department's hard drive of stock images and helped create campaigns for the larger tradeshows our companies attended. Tight deadlines were often part of my routine since my department provided resources for over 30 sales representatives. The resources included product informational sheets, videos, brochures, direct mailers and other promotional items given to leads and customers.

Stephen F. Austin State University Campus Recreation - Student Graphic Designer

2009 - 2010

My love of graphic design blossomed because of my experience with SFA's Campus Recreation center. I worked closely with my supervisor and several organizations within SFA to design creative fliers to distribute within the campus and community. Since each piece was geared toward students, I used eye-catching and trendy designs to get their attention for events sponsored by Campus Rec. Along with flier for events and informational sessions, I also designed logos. Variations of my logos are still being used today for the Little Jack Rec Camp (a children's camp) and the Earth Day celebration hosted by Outdoor Pursuits.

Stephen F. Austin State University Campus Residence Life - Desk Assistant

2007 - 2009

My interpersonal and customer skills were fine tuned during my time with Residence Life. At each residence hall on campus, a Desk Assistant was one of the first people a resident saw when entering the building. I provided a friendly and knowledgable face for the residents and their guests. I handled confidential material, provided information about on-campus and local events, as well as maintained the community's repair and complaint logs.
